BOGURA, Nov 7, 2025 (BSS) - The historic "National Revolution and Solidarity Day" was observed with due respect in Bogura district today.
The day began with the hoisting of the national and party flags at the BNP office, followed by paying tribute to the portrait of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman around 11:30 am.
A three-day photo exhibition on the life and legacy of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman was inaugurated at Shaheed Khokon Park, organized jointly by the district Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, and Swechchasebak Dal.
Prayers for the forgiveness of Ziaur Rahman's soul were offered after Jumma at Baitur Rahman Central Mosque, organized by the district BNP.
Later in the afternoon, the district BNP organized a colorful rally starting from Altafunesa Playground, which proceeded along the main roads of the city.
Bogura District BNP President Bejaul Karim Badsha presided over a short rally before the procession. BNP Chairperson's Adviser and former mayor AKM Mahbubur Rahman and former MP Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu addressed the rally.
The speakers at the rally said that they demanded that November 7 be declared a national day and a government holiday.
They also called upon all tow work in unison for the win of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman with the highest numbers of vote.
