Tuition fees distributed among underprivileged students in Barisal

BARISHAL, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - World Concern Bangladesh, in collaboration with the FDCS (Family Development for Children with Sponsorship) project, has distributed tuition fees and vegetable seeds to poor and dropout-prone students in Sadar upazila. 

The distribution was held at the WCB area office of Barisal City Corporation on Saturday.
Manjura Musharraf, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer, attended the event as the chief guest.

 In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of financial assistance in helping students continue their education. She also praised the vegetable seed distribution initiative, noting that it would contribute to family-level food security and economic self-reliance.

According to information shared at the programme, the vegetable seeds were provided as part of the tuition fee support offered to FDCS scholarship recipients and their families.

The initiative aims not only to reduce educational expenses but also to enhance the families’ economic stability.

The event was jointly organized by World Concern Bangladesh and the FDCS project, with financial support from Interact Sweden. Project officials, beneficiary students, and their guardians were present during the distribution ceremony.
