NAOGAON, Dec 14, 2025 (BSS) - A huge crowd gathered in the district
on Sunday to offer prayers for the recovery of BNP Chairperson and
former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Fazle Huda Babul, joint general secretary of the Central Krishak Dal,
president of Badalgachhi upazila BNP, and BNP candidate from the Naogaon-3
(Mahadevpur-Badalgachhi) constituency conducted the prayer session at the
Dakbanglo ground in Mahadevpur upazila.

Babul urged party supporters to remain serious about voting and stressed the
importance of unity within the BNP. "Bangladesh is going through a difficult
time. As a result of the movement and struggle for the last 17 years, the
election schedule has been announced. With the prayers and support of the
people, the 'Sheaf of Paddy' will be victorious," he said.

He also outlined his plans for the constituency, promising to make it drug-
free within 2-3 months, restore an educational environment free from
political influence, ensure fair prices for agricultural products, set up two
industries to create employment, issue family cards to women, and improve
healthcare services.

The prayer and milad were organised by the Mahadevpur Upazila Sheaf of Paddy
Supporters Group. Abu Bakkar Siddique Nannu, District BNP president, was
present at the event as the chief guest with Shahidul Islam Shahid, convener
of the group, in the chair.

Other speakers included former district BNP member secretary Bayezid Hossain
Palash, district organising secretary Khairul Alam Goldon, district volunteer
party convener Shafiul Azam Tutul, Chhatra Dal general secretary Mamun Bin
Islam Doha and Badalgachhi Upazila BNP vice-president Rezaun Nabi Sando.

The event saw participation from around 15,000 BNP leaders, activists, and
members of the general public, demonstrating widespread support for Khaleda
Zia and the party's electoral efforts in the region.
