NAOGAON, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS) - An elderly woman was tragically killed after 
being hit by a speeding microbus while returning from her father's house in 
Sapahar upazila of the district. 

The accident took place on Monday afternoon in Anarpur Biscuit Factory area 
on the Sapahar-Nishchintapur road of the upazila. 

The deceased Dachiran Bibi, 90, is the wife of late Ismail Hossain of 
Islampur village of the upazila. 

Seriously injured woman was taken to Sapahar Upazila Health Complex. However, 
she died on the way before reaching the hospital. 

Sapahar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anarul Islam confirmed the 
matter and said, "A case has been registered at the police station and legal 
proceedings are underway."
