DHAKA, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar today demanded immediate arrest of all listed armed terrorists across the country to ensure public safety.

"We strongly demand that the listed terrorists be arrested within the shortest possible time and the security of the people be ensured," he told the all-party resistance rally held at the Central Shaheed Minar this afternoon.

Parwar said law enforcement agencies already possess lists of armed terrorists and urged swift action to detain those named.

Referring to the attack on Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, Parwar said Hadi had expressed concerns over threats to his life days before he was shot.

"He is an active fighter of the July Revolution. Despite this, why was his security not ensured? The government must answer for failing to protect Hadi. This responsibility can't be avoided," said the Jamaat leader.

The rally, which began at 3pm, was attended by leaders and activists of various political parties as well as social and cultural organisations.

Representatives of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, Gano Odhikar Parishad, AB Party and Islami Andolan Bangladesh, among others, joined the programme.

Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inquilab Mancha and an independent aspirant for the Dhaka-8 parliamentary seat, was critically wounded in a broad-daylight shooting by unidentified assailants in the capital's Paltan area on December 12.

Hadi was first taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and later shifted to Evercare Hospital. For advanced treatment, he was taken to Singapore on an air ambulance that departed from Hazrat Shahjalal
International Airport (HSIA) at 01:55pm today.
