KHULNA, Dec 16, 2025 (BSS) - Ahead of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election scheduled for February 12, seven aspirants have collected nomination forms for four of the six parliamentary constituencies in Khulna district.

The aspirants collected their forms over the past two days, Sunday and Monday, following the announcement of the election schedule. 

Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer A S M Zamshed Khondaker and Regional Election Officer and Returning Officer Faisal Kader confirmed the development on Monday.

The aspirants include BNP candidate Rakibul Islam Bakul and Sheikh Arman Hossain of the National Democratic Movement for Khulna-3; Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Kabirul Islam and Islami Andolan candidate Hafez Maulana Yunus Ahmed for Khulna-4; Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar for Khulna-5; and BNP candidate SM Monirul Hasan Bappi and Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Abul Kalam Azad for Khulna-6 constituency.

According to the election schedule, aspirants can collect and submit nomination forms until December 29. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from December 30 to January 4, while January 20 has been fixed as the last date for withdrawal of candidature.
