Youth killed in Meherpur road accident

MEHERPUR, Dec 23, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed and another injured in a road accident in Ashrafpur Bypass area of Sadar upazila this morning
 
The deceased was Md. Lijon, 23, son of Mofizul Islam, a resident of Monakhali village in Mujibnagar upazila.
 
The accident took place when a motorcycle collided head-on with a sand-laden dump truck due to dense fog, leaving bike rider Lijon dead on the spot and its pillion injured.
 
The injured was taken to Meherpur General Hospital.
 
Officer-in-Charge of Meherpur Sadar Police Station Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter.
