
DHAKA, Dec 23, 2025 (BSS) - The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today set January 4 for hearing on framing of charges against former Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC) Ziaul Ahsan over the killing of more than 100 people through enforced disappearances.
The three-member ICT-1, led by Justice Golam Mortuza Majumder, passed the order and showed Ziaul Ahsan arrested in the case.
Earlier, on December 17, the prosecution submitted a formal charge before the tribunal. Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam placed the charge, seeking the tribunal's cognizance of three counts.
The tribunal took the charges into cognizance and ordered that Ziaul Ahsan be produced before it on December 21.
Ziaul Ahsan was arrested in mid-August last year from the capital's Khilkhet area. He is currently in custody.
