‘Voter Gari’ campaign launched in Meherpur

MEHERPUR, Jan 4, 2026 (BSS) - ‘Voter Gari’ campaign was inaugurated in Meherpur on Sunday to encourage citizens to exercise their voting rights during the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum 2026.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Syed Enamul Kabir inaugurated the programme at Shaheed Dr. Shamsuzzoha Park, emphasizing the importance of voter participation with the slogan of “The key to the country is in your hands.”

The event was attended by Superintendent of Police Ujjal Kumar Roy, Meherpur Government College Principal Professor Nazrul Kabir, Deputy Director of Local Government Department Khatun A Jannat, District Election Officer Enamul Haque and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Khairul Islam. The programme was moderated by District Information Officer Abdullah Al Mamun.

Officials said the ‘Voter Gari’ will travel across the district to raise awareness about the elections, encouraging voters to take part in it actively. The initiative aims to ensure that the upcoming elections are conducted in a participatory and festive atmosphere, providing necessary information to the public about the National Assembly elections and the referendum.
