Jamalpur RAB arrests two with foreign liquor

JAMALPUR, Jan 4, 2026 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two drug peddlers along with a large quantity of Indian-made liquor in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur district this morning.

RAB-14 in Jamalpur said in a press briefing that acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the Baromari Mission Battola area of Nalitabari upazila and arrested Md Shamim Ahmed, 20, and Md Samidul Islam, residents of the upazila.

The RAB members recovered 369 bottles of liquor and a motorcycle from their possession.
A case was filed with Nalitabari Police Station in this connection.
