LAKSHMIPUR, Jan 5, 2026 (BSS) - A teenager was killed after being hit by a wastage-laden pickup van in Kazirdagi area of Chandraganj under Sadar upazila here on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Fahim Hossain, 15, son of Kamal Hossain of Dula Haji Bari in Nurullahpur village under Charshahi union of the upazila.

According to eyewitnesses and police, the accident occurred around 8:00 am at Kazirdagi in Uttar Nurullahpur village while Fahim was working at the roadside. A pickup van reportedly hit him from behind, leaving him dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Daserhat Police Outpost Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the incident and said necessary legal action will be taken in this regard.
