Symbols allocated for 13th JS polls in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - The symbols for candidates contesting the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election in all three constituencies of Manikganj were officially allocated yesterday.

Nazmun Ara Sultana, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Manikganj and Returning Officer for the election, formally declared the symbols for the aspirants.

In Manikganj-1 constituency, BNP candidate SA Jinnah Kabir received 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbol, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abu Bakar Siddique received 'Scale' symbol, Gono Odhikar Parishad candidate Mohammad Elias Hossain received the 'Truck', Janatar Dal candidate Mohammad Shahjahan received the 'Pen', Islami Andolan candidate Sultan Uddin Ahmed received the 'Hand Fan', and independent candidate Tozammel Haque Toja received the 'Horse' symbol.

In Manikganj-2 constituency, BNP candidate Engineer Moinul Islam Khan Santo was allocated 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbol, Khelafat Majlis candidate Md. Salah Uddin received the 'Wall Clock', Jatiya Party candidate SM Abdul Mannan received the 'Plough', and Islami Andolan candidate Mohammad Ali received the 'Hand Fan' symbol.

In Manikganj-3 constituency, BNP candidate Afroza Khanam Rita received 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbol, Ten Party Alliance candidate Shah Mohammad Sayeed Nur received the 'Rickshaw', independent candidate Ataur Rahman Ata received the Football and independent candidate Mofizul Islam Khan Kamal received the 'Sunflower'.

Besides, Jatiya Party candidate Abul Bashar Badsha received the 'Plough' symbol, JP candidate Moazzem Hossain Khan Mojlish received the 'Bicycle', Bangladesh Jashod candidate Md Shahjahan Ali received 'Motor Car', and Islami Andolan candidate Shamsuddin received the 'Hand Fan'.

The Returning Officer, Nazmun Ara Sultana, said that the election campaign has officially started and expressed hope that the 13th parliamentary elections would be conducted in a fair, free, and peaceful manner.
