
RAJSHAHI, Jan 27, 2026 (BSS)- United efforts of all the government and non-government organisations concerned and other stakeholders can be the crucial means of preventing sexual abuse and exploitation against children.
As the present children are the future driving force of the nation successfully, they must be protected from all sorts of exploitations, repression and discrimination through playing sensible and responsible roles by all quarters.
The observation came at a stakeholder dialogue to take specific steps and ways forward to prevent sexual exploitation against children held at Boalia Club conference hall Rajshahi city today.
Association for Community Development (ACD) as part of implementation of its 'SUFASEC- Down to Zero Alliance Bangladesh (Stepping Up the Fight Against Sexual Exploitation of Children)' project organised the dialogue supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands and Free a Girl Netherlands.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sabur Ali, Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Development Shariful Islam and Mashuma Mostari, Officer-in-Charge of Airport Police Station, addressed the meeting as resource persons.
ACD Team Leader Subrata Kumar Paul, Project Coordinator Monirul Islam and Programme Officer Atia Tansima also spoke.
The speakers unanimously emphasized that building a safe and prosperous future requires the active involvement of citizens from all levels of society.
They stressed that fulfilling responsibilities properly is essential to ensuring child protection and called for collective efforts to safeguard children from all forms of violence, abuse, exploitation, and neglect.
