Two killed in Munshiganj road crash

MUNSHIGANJ, Feb 3, 2026 (BSS) - Two people were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka–Mawa Expressway in Srinagar upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Arif, 45, son of Aru Mia of Mugda in Dhaka and Md Mamun, 35, hailed from Faridpur district.

According to police, the accident occurred around 11:30 am in Keotkhali area when a motorcycle lost control and crashed into a roadside railing.

Srinagar Fire Service Office sources said that both the driver and the pillion rider were thrown onto the road after the impact and they died on the spot. Fire service personnel later recovered the bodies from the scene.

Abu Naeem Siddique, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hasara Highway Police Station, said the bodies have been kept at the police station for further legal procedures.
