Measles-Rubella vaccination to cover 3.44 lakh children in Sunamganj

SUNAMGANJ, April 16, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 3, 44,000 children will be brought under  measles-rubella vaccination programme in 12 upazilas of the district to combat the spread of measles.

An advocacy meeting was held at 11 am today at the conference room of the district EPI building to ensure the successful implementation of the Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign 2026.

The meeting urged guardians to bring their children to the nearest vaccination centres.

Presided over by Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Jasim Uddin, the meeting was attended, among others, by lecturer Mohammad Ali, convener of Haor and River Protection Movement Obaidul Haque Milon, Nayeb-e-Ameer of district Jamaat-e-Islami Mumtazul Hasan Abed and health officials.
