BAGERHAT, May 30, 2026 (BSS) - A prayer meeting and discussion meeting were held on the occasion of Eid reunion and the death anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman at the initiative of Bagerhat Officers Forum. The event was organised at the meeting room of Bagerhat Circuit House on Friday. 
 
At the beginning of the event, Forum President Dr. Faridul Islam highlighted the various developmental activities implemented so far in Bagerhat under the initiative of the Forum.
 
State Minister for Forest and Environment Dr. Faridul Islam, MP, was present as the chief guest at the event. In his speech, he emphasized on the education, health, environment and infrastructural development of Bagerhat. 
 
P.C. College Principal Md.  Jahangir Ali, Assistant Director of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSE) Hedayet Ali Sheikh, Principal of BL College Professor Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of Khulna Medical College Professor Dr. Rafiqus Salehin, among others, were present. 
  
At the end of the programme, a special prayer and munajat was held seeking the forgiveness of the departed soul of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.
