FENI, June 7, 2026 (BSS) - The district-level selection process and prize-giving ceremony of the Primary Education Award-2026 was held in Feni today amid enthusiastic participation of students from across the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Fatema Sultana attended the inaugural function as the chief guest at the PTI ground in the town, with District Primary Education Officer Hrishikesh Shil in the chair. Superintendent of PTI Feni Shyamal Krishna Bepari attended the programme as special guest.

First-place winners from six upazilas participated in various events, including sports, cultural competitions, subject-based quizzes, debates and cubing competitions.

Among others, District Information Officer Al Amin, Sadar Upazila Social Services Officer Kamrunnahar, Assistant District Primary Education Officers Md. Mahbubur Rahman and Farid Uddin Ahmad, and PTI Assistant Superintendent Mohammad Jasim Uddin were present.

The District Primary Education Officer informed that first-place winners in 42 categories at the district level have been selected and asked to prepare for participation in the upcoming Chattogram divisional-level competition.
