KMP imposes restrictions on HSC examination centres

KHULNA, June 30, 2026 (BSS) – Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) has imposed restrictions around Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), Alim and HSC (Vocational) examination centres from July 2 to August 8 to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the public examinations.

The restrictions have been imposed at 22 examination centres in the metropolitan area under Sections 29 and 30 of the Khulna Metropolitan Police Ordinance, 1985, according to a notice, signed by KMP Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Hasan.

AS part of the notice, gatherings of five or more persons, processions and loitering within a radius of 200 yards of examination centres will remain prohibited from 8 am until the end of the examinations on each examination day.

The order also prohibits carrying firearms, sharp weapons, sticks, explosives or similar materials within the restricted areas.

The use of loudspeakers and other sound-amplifying devices around examination centres has also been banned during examination hours.

In addition, all photocopy   machines located within 200 yards of examination centres must be  closed while examinations are on.

The notice said legal action would be taken against anyone violating the restrictions.
