PANCHAGARH, Aug 16, 2026 (BSS) - A security guard of Pubali Bank Limited PLC was killed after a truck hit his motorcycle at Milgate Bazar on the Panchagarh-Boda highway under Boda upazila of the district this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Zainal Abedin, 55, son of Asiruddin, a resident of Murkhajot area under Bhajanpur union in Tetulia upazila. He was working as a security guard at Pubali Bank's Boda Upazila Branch.

The accident took place around 12.30 pm when a truck hit the motorcycle from behind, leaving its rider Zainal injured.

He was taken to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital where the attending physician declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Panchagarh Sadar Police Station Mokhlesur Rahman confirmed the accident.
