China's Xi sends condolences to India after plane crash: state media

BEIJING, June 13, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence Friday to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Beijing's state media said, after a London-bound passenger plane crashed in Ahmedabad, killing at least 265 people on board and on the ground.

Xi also "sent a message of condolence to King Charles III of the United Kingdom over the significant British casualties", state broadcaster CCTV said.
