UN Security Council schedules 3:00 pm emergency meeting on Iran

UNITED NATIONS, United States, June 13, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Friday at 3:00 pm (1900 GMT) following Israel's wave of airstrikes on neighboring Iran, current Council presidency Guyana announced.

The meeting was requested by Iran, and supported by Russia and China, a diplomatic source told AFP.
