China's Xi urges Israel-Iran de-escalation 'as soon as possible': state media

BEIJING, June 17, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - China's President Xi Jinping on Tuesday 
urged a de-escalation of the Israel-Iran conflict "as soon as possible", 
according to Chinese state media. 

"All parties should work to de-escalate the conflict as soon as possible and 
prevent further escalation of tensions", he said during a meeting with the 
Uzbek president in Kazakhstan, Xinhua reported.
