US Supreme Court upholds state ban on gender-affirming medical care for minors

WASHINGTON, June 18, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The US Supreme Court on Wednesday 
upheld a state law banning gender-affirming medical care for transgender 
minors.

The top court voted 6-3 to uphold the Tennessee state law which bans hormone 
treatments, puberty blockers and gender transition surgery for those under 
the age of 18.
