Iran FM says agreed with US to hold next round of talks 'soon'

TEHRAN, Feb 7, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Saturday that no date has been determined for the next round of talks with the United States but that two sides agreed it should be "soon".

"At present, no specific time has been set for the second round of negotiations, but we and Washington believe that these negotiations should be held soon," said Araghchi, according to excerpts published on his official Telegram channel during an interview with the Al Jazeera network.
