BSS: What are your electoral pledges to the voters of your constituency?
Kamrunnahar Sathi: The primary responsibility of a Member of Parliament is to enact laws for the country and to work relentlessly to ensure people’s basic needs—food, clothing, education, healthcare and housing.
Alongside this, it is essential to ensure employment for the unemployed according to their skills and qualifications.
If elected, I will work first and foremost to eliminate unemployment.
I will also strive to ensure that state-allocated funds are utilised to the maximum benefit of the people.
As the youngest candidate and a young woman, I believe my new ideas and energy can contribute meaningfully to national development.
By participating in the election for the first time, I want to stand beside the people and earn their trust.
BSS: What instructions have you given to party leaders and activists regarding compliance with the election code of conduct?
Kamrunnahar Sathi: We are strictly following the election code of conduct and have urged our leaders, activists and supporters to fully comply with all electoral rules.
BSS: What is your position on the referendum regarding the July Charter?
Kamrunnahar Sathi: The decision of my party’s central leadership on this matter is final.
BSS: What are your expectations regarding the upcoming national parliamentary election?
Kamrunnahar Sathi: My expectation is that the Election Commission will organize a free, fair, neutral and peaceful election where every voter can exercise their right independently.
I urge voters not to be misled by black money, muscle power, or religious extremism and elect principled and ideologically committed candidates.
