DHAKA, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS) – BNP candidate for Dhaka-16 constituency Aminul Haque today said that an evil force is attempting to disrupt the environment of a free, fair, and neutral election through the spread of misinformation and falsehood.

“I and my supporters remain vigilant against instigators and those attempting to create instability,” he said while speaking on the 14th day of his election campaign during a mass contact event in the Adarsh Nagar area of Mirpur-11 in the city.

A large number of supporters and local residents joined him during the campaign.

Aminul Haque specifically said that a rival group has been distributing money and various gift items to influence general voters ahead of the upcoming polls.

He claimed that under the cover of darkness on the night of Shab-e-Barat, activists from that group delivered rice and chicken to various households.

Aminul Haque expressed confidence in the awareness of the electorate, stating that the general public will not be swayed by falsehoods or temptations.

He emphasized that they are awaiting the February 12 election to establish a people's government through a free and fair voting process.
