DMP arrests 17 under Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2 in Dhaka

DHAKA, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 17 people in the last 24 hours under Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2 across eight police station areas of the capital.

Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Police Commissioner, Media and Public Relations Division, DMP, confirmed the arrests.

According to DMP, the arrests were made on Tuesday during day-long operations in crime-prone areas under Demra (2), Sutrapur (2), Mohammadpur (3), Tejgaon (1), Khilkhet (1), Jatrabari (5), Dakshinkhan (2) and Shahbagh (1) police stations.

The arrested individuals include - Md. Sharif, Md. Babu Mia alias Babul, Yamin Arafat Sanjay, Md. Al-Amin Sardar, Md. Nayan, Mujahid Hossain alias Kamran, Md. Kabir Hossain, Md. Liton Bepari, Md. Selim, Md. Jewel, Md. Babu alias Chhota Babu, Md. Haider Hossain Topu, Md. Imran, Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Md. Karul Islam Shiblu, Md. Alamin and Md. Mannan Mia.

All the arrested persons have been sent to court.
