Testimony in plot scam case against Sheikh Hasina, Tulip ends

DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) – The testimony in a case against 17, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana and niece Tulip Siddique, over alleged irregularities in the allocation of a 10-katha plot in the RAJUK New Town project.

Judge Robiul Alam of the Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 passed the order as the defence today concluded cross-examining the investigation officer (IO), Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) assistant director Afnan Jannat Keya.

The court, after that, set November 23 for the defence to present its case. A total of 32 witnesses were examined by the court in the case. 

According to the case documents, ACC Deputy Director Md Salahuddin on January 13, 2025, filed the case against 15, including Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Rehana and Tulip Siddique. The IO on March 10 filed the charge sheet against 17.

Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 on July 31 framed charges in three such cases, while the Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 on the same day framed charges in three other identical cases.
