
DHAKA, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS) – A court here today is scheduled to pronounce its verdicts in two separate cases against 36 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her nieces Tulip Siddiq and Azmina Siddiq, and nephew Radwan Mujib Siddiq, over alleged irregularities in the allocation of two 10-katha plots under the RAJUK New Town Project.
Confirming the matter to BSS, court clerk Belal Hossain said the Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 is likely to deliver the verdicts at 11 am.
Judge Robiul Alam of Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 on January 13, 2026, fixed February 2 for pronouncing judgment in a case against 18 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her nieces Tulip Siddiq and Azmina Siddiq, as both the prosecution and defence concluded their arguments on that day.
The other accused in the case are former RAJUK administrative officer Md Saiful Islam Sarkar, former senior assistant secretary Purabi Goldar, former additional secretary Wali Ullah, former additional secretary (Administration) Kazi Wasi Uddin, former RAJUK chairman Md Anisur Rahman Miah, former RAJUK member (Estate and Land) Mohammad Khurshid Alam, former member (Development Control) Tanmay Das, former members (Planning) Mohammad Nasir Uddin and Major (Retd) Shamsuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, former directors Nurul Islam and Qamrul Islam, former assistant director Mazharul Islam, former deputy director (Estate and Land-3) Naeb Ali Sharif, former personal secretary-1 to the ousted prime minister Mohammad Salahuddin, and former state minister for Housing and Public Works Sharif Ahmed.
Earlier, on January 5, the court concluded the recording of testimonies in the case. Investigation officer and ACC Assistant Director Afnan Jannat Keya testified as the last prosecution witness and was later cross-examined by the defence.
A total of 31 witnesses testified in the case.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case on January 13, 2025, against 16 individuals and later submitted a charge sheet on March 10, 2025, against 18 accused.
Meanwhile, the same court on January 18 fixed February 2 for pronouncing judgment in another case against 18 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her nephew Radwan Mujib Siddiq and his sister Tulip Siddiq.
The other accused in the case are former RAJUK administrative officer Md Saiful Islam Sarkar, former senior assistant secretary Purabi Goldar, former additional secretary Wali Ullah, former additional secretary (Administration) Kazi Wasi Uddin, former secretary Shahid Ullah Khandaker, former RAJUK chairman Md Anisur Rahman Miah, former RAJUK member (Estate and Land) Mohammad Khurshid Alam, former member (Development Control) Tanmay Das, former members (Planning) Mohammad Nasir Uddin and Major (Retd) Shamsuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, former director Fariya Sultana, former assistant director Mazharul Islam, former deputy director (Estate and Land-3) Naeb Ali Sharif, former director (Estate and Land-2) Sheikh Shahidul Islam, former personal secretary-1 to the ousted prime minister Mohammad Salahuddin, and former state minister for Housing and Public Works Sharif Ahmed.
A total of 28 witnesses testified in the case.
On July 31, 2025, the court framed charges and ordered the formal commencement of the trial.
