DHAKA, Feb 01, 2026 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today ordered to freeze 46 bank accounts of Awami League leader and former member of parliament (MP) from Dhaka-8 constituency, AFM Bahauddin Nasim and his family members.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, allowing a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The application said AFM Bahauddin Nasim and his family members were attempting to withdraw money from various bank accounts and transfer the funds elsewhere, including efforts to launder money abroad.

Records obtained during the investigation indicate that Bahauddin and his family amassed and transacted crime-derived money through abuse of power and corruption.

The application warned that transferring funds from the accounts could cause significant loss to the state and sought suspension of transactions in those accounts.
