ADB President greets Sheikh Hasina on re-election as PM

DHAKA, Jan 17, 2024 (BSS) - ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa congratulated

Sheikh Hasina on her reappointment as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for
the fourth consecutive term.

"Under Your leadership in the last 15 years, Bangladesh has made
extraordinary progress in all areas of development, providing a solid
foundation for continued development progress," he wrote in a congratulatory
letter sent to the premier.

Country Director of the ADB Edimon Ginting handed over the congratulatory
message this morning while calling on the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her
official residence Ganabhaban here.

ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa said: "As Bangladesh's trusted and long-
standing development partner, ADB stands ready to support the initiatives of
Your government through a deepened partnership."

"ADB is looking forward to working with You to support Bangladesh's journey
towards the prosperity," he added.
