DHAKA, March 3, 2024 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has called for raising united global voices to stop Israel from committing genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

"What's happening in Gaza is simply crime against humanity. Not only crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing is going on," he said.

The minister who is now participating in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey was giving an interview with TRT World in Turkey on Saturday.

Pointing that the death toll on civilians, with over 30,000 people, predominantly women and children, killed in the conflict in Gaza, Hasan Mahmud said, the world has not seen enough effort to stop this 'war and genocide' while Israel is violating all the norms of any war.

The Bangladesh foreign minister termed the Antalya Diplomacy Forum a significant platform for international dialogue.

"This Forum has become a very powerful Forum, I think we can raise our united voices to stop these atrocities, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity in Gaza and stop Israel," he said.

The foreign minister will go to Saudi Arabia to join an OIC event there and is expected to make a call to stop war in Gaza and make Israel accountable for committing crimes against humanity.
