UNDP supports to hold fair elections in Bangladesh: Liller

DHAKA, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS) - UNDP Resident Representative here Stefan Liller today said they are supporting the Election Commission (EC) in holding a free and fair election in Bangladesh.

"We are supporting the Election Commission to conduct a free, fair election hopefully the best election in Bangladesh's history," he said in a media briefing emerging from a meeting of representatives of 18 countries with the EC at Nirbachan Bhaban here.

About timeline of the next polls, he said, it's a matter of interim government. 

Election Commissioner (EC) Brigadier General (Retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah was present at the briefing.
