Chief Adviser holds meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami

DHAKA, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today held a meeting with leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami over the upcoming national election and the prevailing political situation in the country. 
 
The meeting took place at the State Guest House Jamuna in the capital.
 
According to the Chief Adviser's Press Wing, a four-member delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami led its Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Md Taher joined the talks. 
 
Other members of the delegation were Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Rafiqul Islam Khan and Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad.
 
National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman and Industry Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan were also present at the meeting. 
 
The Chief Adviser is also scheduled to meet with the National Citizen Party (NCP) at 6 pm and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) at 7:30 pm today.
