7 notorious robbers arrested with arms in Khulna

KHULNA, March 15, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested seven members of the notorious Khobir Molla gang along with weapons, ammunition, and a cocktail in Dighalia upazila early today.

The detainees were identified as Md. Siraj Molla, 55; Md. Mizanur Fakir, 55; Tuhin Molla, 24; Imran Molla, 23; Ashik Molla, 20; Nasim Sheikh, 21; and Jony Molla, 37. All are residents of Kalia upazila in Narail District.

Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon, media officer of the Coast Guard, said the operation was conducted by Coast Guard Station Rupsha in the Gazirhat area of Dighalia upazila around 5 am following a tip-off.

During the raid, personnel recovered a single-barrel gun, a locally made one-shooter gun, three rounds of live ammunition, and a cocktail.

Legal action against the arrested gang members is underway, and the seized weapons and ammunition have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

He added that the Coast Guard will continue such operations to ensure law and order across the country.
