
DHAKA, Mar 15, 2026 (BSS) - Opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim struck his maiden century as Bangladesh compiled a hefty 290-5 in the series-deciding third ODI against Pakistan at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today.
Tanzid hammered run-a-ball-107 with six fours and seven sixes to lead the charge after Pakistan asked Bangladesh to bat first in a match which will decide the series.
The series is locked at 1-1 after Bangladesh won the first ODI by eight wickets while Pakistan crushed Bangladesh in the second match by 128 runs on DLS method.
Tanzid and Saif Hasan shared 105 runs in the opening stand with Saif making 36. Najmul Hossain Shanto contributed 27.
However, Tanzid kept up the rhythm in the middle overs, ensuring Bangladesh would be on course of a big total. He was the third batter out when left-arm spinner Abrar Ahmed dismissed him.
Liton Das and Towhid Hridoy then took the onus although none of them could hit half-century.
Liton was out on 41 but Hridoy played till the end to remain not-out on 44 ball-48 with four fours.
