Bhutan PM arrives Saturday for three-day state visit

DHAKA, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh will accord a red-carpet welcome to Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay as he arrives here on Saturday for a three-day state visit aimed at advancing bilateral relations through enhanced connectivity, trade and investment.

Officials said the Bhutanese premier is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday morning.

During the visit, he will attend a series of engagements, including talks with Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus.

 Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay is expected to leave Dhaka on Monday.

Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam is due to brief the media outlining the Bhutanese leader’s programmes at the foreign ministry this afternoon. 

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus extended the invitation to the Bhutanese premier on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in September this year, which Prime Minister Tobgay warmly accepted at the time.
