DHAKA, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS) - Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan today urged the young generation to focus on innovation and production rather than corruption to make wealth for themselves and the nation.
"We all want to create wealth for ourselves, our families, and our nation. But remember, wealth can be earned in two ways: through innovation and production or through corruption. We must pursue wealth through the innovation," the adviser said.
He made the remarks while addressing the 17th Convocation of BRAC University as the chief guest this noon.
Distinguished guests at the convocation included Vice-Chancellor of SOAS University of London Professor Adam Habib, BRAC University VC Prof. Syed Ferhat Anwar, University Grants Commission (UGC) members Prof. Md Saidur Rahman and Prof. M Anwar Hossen, Chairperson of BRAC University Board of Trustees Tamara Hasan Abed, and Dr. Sadia Hamid Kazi.
The adviser emphasized, "We are here to create wealth for our families and our nation. I want you to be wealthy, but please acquire wealth through production and entrepreneurship."
He also highlighted the changing demands of the future economy, saying, "The future economy will reward capability over connections. Your position will depend on what you can actually do."
He stressed the importance of coding boot camps, micro-credentials, and global competition. "Only those who can adapt, innovate, and uphold integrity will succeed in the long run," he added.
He further called on the new generation to reject shortcuts and contribute to building a Bangladesh rooted in ethics, creativity, and honest labor. "Your choices will shape not only your own future but also the future of the nation," he said.
Earlier, the adviser conferred graduate and post-graduate degrees and medals to the graduating students and encouraged them to work for the nation and elevate Bangladesh to the global stage.
