DHAKA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS) - Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md 
Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said the highest level of security will be 
ensured for the homecoming of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting 
Chairman Tarique Rahman on December 25.

"Maximum security measures have already been taken to ensure the safe arrival 
of Tarique Rahman in the country," he said.

The Home Adviser made the remarks today while briefing reporters after the 
18th meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Law and Order and on 
security preparations for the Jagannath University Central Students' Union 
(JnUCSU) polls.

He added that law enforcement agencies have been instructed to remain fully 
alert and coordinated so that the event can take place peacefully.

Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury emphasized that the government is committed to 
maintaining public safety.
