PM to visit Bogura on April 20

BOGURA, April 15, 2026 (BSS)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit his home district Bogura on April 20.

It will be his first visit to Bogura after assuming office as Prime Minister following the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam and Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon at a press conference at the Bogura Circuit House informed journalists about the visit. 

After the press conference, they inspected the public meeting venue and other related sites. Local parliament member Morshed Milton, senior BNP leaders and officials of the district administration were present

Mir Shahe Alam said, the Prime Minister will arrive in Bogura by road from Dhaka at 10:30 AM on April 20.”
 
To ensure a safe and smooth visit, Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon and senior officials of the Special Security Force (SSF) held a meeting with district and police administration officials and top BNP leaders at the Circuit House. 

According to the schedule, upon arriving in Bogura, the Prime Minister will go to the District Judge's Court to launch an online bail bond distribution program and inaugurate the newly elected building of the Bar Association. Later, he will inaugurate Bogura Municipality as a City Corporation.

Then the Prime Minister will visit his ancestral home at Bagbari in Gabtali to distribute family cards, inspect a rural hospital, and inaugurate a canal digging program.

As the final event of the day he will address a public meeting to be organized by the BNP at the Altafunnesa playground in the city at 3:00 PM.
