DHAKA, Feb 7, 2024 (BSS) - Textiles and Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak today said BNP should come to politics by seeking an apology to the countrymen as they tried to destroy country's democratic process with subversive activities.

"BNP should seek an apology to the countrymen as it hatched conspiracies to foil the 12th parliamentary election, but they failed to do so since the country's people cast their vote in favor of AL," he said.

Nanak, also Awami League (AL) Presidium Member, said this while distributing winter clothes among cold-stricken people in the city's Shekhertek area.

Mentioning that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly for the country and its people as the Premier wants to make a smart Bangladesh, Nanak asserted, "We will definitely implement dream of our Premier."

Stern actions will be taken if BNP tries to create anarchy in the name of movement in the country, he said.

AL always works for the wellbeing of the country's people, while BNP always hatches conspiracy against the country and its people, the textiles minister said, adding BNP failed to do politics due to their seditious activities.

Dhaka city north AL President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman, organizing secretary Azizul Haque Rana, Ward councilor Abul, among others, were present at the program.
