DHAKA, Feb 13, 2024 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) last night  arrested five persons including ‘oggyan party’ men, snatcher and notorious Mama Party chief Shaheen Rana, from Jatrabari area of the capital.

The arrested were identified as notorious Mama party head Md. Rana alias Shaheen Rana, 49, Md. Mofijul Islam alias Islam Mia,48, Md. Shagor alias Md. Habib,51, Md. Faruq Ahmmed alias Md. Faruq,34, Md. Abul Kalam,53.

Acting on a tip- off, a team of RAB-10 conducted separate drives in Shonir Akhra area under Jatrabari police station in the city and arrested them on Monday night, Commanding officer of RAB-10 Additional DIG Md. Faridh Uddin told BSS today.

They all hailed from Shariatpur, Madaripur and Moulvibazar districts, RAB officials said.

Necessary legal action has been taken against them.
