Govt to provide Tk 7.49cr intensive to boost jute production

DHAKA, Feb 15, 2024 (BSS) - The government will provide around Taka 7.49 crore as incentive to increase the cultivation and production of jute in the country.

Under the incentive, a total of 3, 36, 600 small, marginal and medium farmers would get free seeds, said a release here today.

Each farmer will be given one kilogram BJRI Tosha Pat-8 (Robi-1) seeds for one bigha lands, it said, adding a government order for providing intensive has already been issued.
