BUP observes Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day

DHAKA, Feb 21, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) today observed the 'Shaheed Dibash’ (Martyrs Day) and the International Mother Language Day in a befitting manner.
 
Marking the day, BUP Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain along with other teachers and officials of the university paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the 1952 Language Movement by placing floral wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar in the city, said a BUP press release.

At the beginning of the day, the national flag was hoisted at half-mast on the campus.

Later, BUP Literature and Drama Club organized a discussion at Bijoy Auditorium on the university campus to mark the day where BUP Vice-Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam was present as the chief guest.

BUP Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, faculty members, senior officials as well as students joined the programme.
