Bangladesh Bar Council holds discussion marking Independence Day

DHAKA, March 27, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Bar Council today held a discussion and Milad Mahfil at its auditorium in Bar Council Building this afternoon marking 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Great Independence Day.

Presided over by its vice-president and senior jurist Syed Rezaur Rahman, the discussion was addressed by bar council secretary Abdur Rahman Sardar, executive committee chairman Mokhlesur Rahman Badal, legal education committee chairman Abdul Baten, compliant and vigilance committee chairman Mohammad Sayeed Ahmed Raza, among others.

The program was conducted by bar council deputy secretary Md Afzal Ur Rahman.

After the discussion, special prayers were offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of martyrs who embraced the supreme sacrifice during the 1971 Liberation War, and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members who were killed on August 15, 1975.
