DHAKA, July 15, 2024 (BSS)- Light to modern rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over four divisions and at one or two places over four divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country", according to the met office forecast release for the next twenty-four hours begins from 9am today.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.8 degree Celsius at Chauadanga and minimum temperature today was recorded 24.7degree Celsius at Bandarban.
Country's highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 38millimeters (mm) at Tetulia.
The sun sets today at 06-49 PM rises tomorrow at 05-21 AM in the capital.
