BSS DUJ Unit observes one-minute silence on mass upsurge victims'

DHAKA, Aug 14, 2024 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) unit of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) today observed one minute silence in memory of the victims' of the recent student-people mass upsurge.
 
The BSS DUJ unit prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls, who embraced martyrdom in the recent student-people movement, which led to topple Sheikh Hasina's government.
 
The journalists urged the interim government to take necessary steps to remove sufferings of victims' families and provide better treatment to the injured ones in the mass upsurge.
 
At the meeting, they laid emphasis on maintaining highest professionalism while performing duties.

The meeting also demanded to reinstate the journalists who were sacked illegally by the earlier management.

BSS DUJ Unit Chief Md Fazlul Huq presided over the meeting while Deputy Unit Chief Md Rajib Hossain conducted it. Members of BSS DUJ Unit were present at the meeting.
