CHATTOGRAM, Sept 28, 2024 (BSS) - A woman died and a total of 66 people have been infected with dengue in Chattogram city and district during last 24 hours.

  The 30-year-old Refa Akter died of dengue while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital after fighting for her life for the last two days.

  Among the 66 people infected with dengue in 24 hours, 58 people have been admitted to the city's government hospital and eight people have been  admitted to various private hospitals in the city.

  According to the Chattogram Civil Surgeon office, a total of 907 people were admitted to the hospital in the port city due to dengue in the month of September.

   At least 117 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the city. A total of 17 people died this year. Among them, 11 people died in September this year. 

   District Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam advised city dwellers to be aware about the spread of dengue.
