3-day Flight Safety Seminar begins

DHAKA, Oct 21, 2024 (BSS)- A three-day ‘International Flight Safety Seminar 2024’ began at a city hotel here today.

The seminar with the theme ‘Promoting Flight Safety by Embracing Technological Advancements’, has been arranged to exchange views and experiences on safe flight planning and management, reduction of risk and overall improvement of the aviation safety standard.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan inaugurated the seminar as the Chief Guest, said an ISPR press release said.

The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) jointly organized the seminar.
 
Representatives of BAF, CAAB, Air Force representatives of USA, Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Indonesia, Myanmar, Maldives, Pakistan, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Bahrain are taking part in the seminar.

Representatives from Ministry of Defense, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Armed Forces Division (AFD), Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd, Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) and other private airlines of Bangladesh are taking part in the seminar.

Inaugurating the seminar Navy Chief Admiral Nazmul Hassan said, the world has witnessed tremendous advancement in technology which would be explored in different sessions of the seminar.

The seminar would help implement the advanced technologies effectively and ensuring safety, he said.
