Army provides humanitarian aid in Lakshmichhari

KHAGRACHHARI, Jan 22, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Army 32 Field Regiment
Artillery, Lakshmichhari Army Zone, provided humanitarian aid and medical
services to the helpless and destitute people in Lakshmichhari here today.

Brigadier General Md. Abul Kalam Shamsuddin Rana, Guimara Region Commander of
the 24th Artillery Brigade, distributed the assistance at a function held at
the Lakshmichhari Government Model High School ground as the chief guest this
morning.

The humanitarian aid includes tin, agricultural products, winter clothes,
blankets, solar systems, and sewing machines.

In addition, 300 patients were provided with free medical services while
students were provided books and financial aid.

The regional commander said that besides maintaining peace and order in the
remote mountains, the Bangladesh Army is working tirelessly for the welfare
of people, and such a trend of development will continue.

Among others, Lakshmichhari Zone Commander Lt. Col. Md. Tajul Islam, Upazila
Nirbahi Officer Setu Kumar Barua, and Officer-in-Charge of the Police Station
Khalid Hossain were present at the event.
